Jamie, Karen and the Foundation are humbled by the overwhelming response to this news. Our sincere appreciation to all for your kind words, encouragement and continued support. Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us.

Jamie, you've been the best thing for Seattle sports that we've ever had. Your disciplined, unflappable approach to the game hasn't hidden the joy and competitiveness that you bring every time you take the mound. Through your example, I and my two sons have learned about the correct way to approach life. The Moyer Foundation shows us that there are more important things than baseball. Please know that this community loves you and is hoping you and Karen will make your home in Seattle when your playing days are over. You are a valued citizen far beyond your brilliant contributions on the field. Good luck!

Thank you for staying here and for all the hard work you, your family and your staff have done to help our community.

You are wonderful. Godspeed!

Tim

To Jamie and family

Only the best to you.  We will miss seeing you on the mound but are so please to hear your commitment to the Moyer Foundation here in Seattle.  We have watched how it has grown over the years and are so pleased with all of the families and children you have helped.  Also, best of luck with the Phillies and we hope to see you on TV in October.  You deserve it.

Jamie,

You will be missed on the baseball side, but we are all glad you and Karen will continue to make your home in Seattle.  You are a very valuable community asset, and Seattle is lucky to have you here.  I am especially impressed by your classy exit.

Good luck in Philly - we hope to see you in the World Series!

We are thrilled to know that the Moyer Foundation will remain here and remain as strong as ever.

You have our unconditional blessing and we wish you much success with your new team.  Even though this is going to sound very odd to say......Go Phillies :)

Love to you all: Marco, Lori, Kosta and Little Marco

Oh thank you, Karen and Jamie, your are such a blessing to our community and we as a family are so sad and cannot imagine the Mariners without you. Thank you for all you do and thank God you, your family and your foundation will remain a part of the Seattle area. God Bless and please know what it means as a mother of two sons to have a class act like yourself to attempt to follow!

Sincerely,
Irene, Nicholas and Joseph
