CAMP ERIN™ ADVOCATES
Camp Erin advocates lead the effort by generating awareness and support for Camp Erin and “Campaign for Kids” in target cities. Advocates include MLB players, their wives, MLB teams and other persons of notoriety in the community. Volunteers, individuals, corporate partners and in-kind donors also help to raise awareness, provide support and ensure the success of each camp. The Moyer Foundation is grateful to all of the Camp Erin Advocates who have teamed up with us to support the Campaign for Kids – helping to bring Camp Erin to every MLB city nationwide.

MLB Players and Wives
"We know of no other tragedy greater than a child losing a loved one. Camp Erin provides hope, encouragement and support to those children who must find their way through the most profound sorrow. Toronto is blessed to have this opportunity."
- Vernon and Charlene Wells
"I lost my mom. I wasn't a kid when it happened, but I know how tough it was as an adult to deal with. So we're doing anything we can do to help, to provide an outlet these kids can go to for support, which is what really matters here."
- Mike Timlin, Boston Red Sox
"Through The Moyer Foundation, we have learned about childhood grief, and the need for these children’s bereavement camps."

- Becca Turnbow, Wife of Milwaulkee Brewers Derrick Turnbow
"Camp Erin is such an amazing program for kids who are going through that kind of loss. We’re happy to help in any way we can."

"It is the Foundation’s goal to have Camp Erins throughout the United States. Now seemed like the perfect time to make this commitment to the children of Philadelphia. I am thrilled to be playing for the Phillies in my home state and being able to give back to this community through Camp Erin is a dream come true. I have had the opportunity to visit many Camp Erins and I have seen, first hand, how this camp impacts children’s lives by being around others going through similar situations,"
- Jamie Moyer, All Star pitcher and Co-founder and President of The Moyer Foundation
"I have had the honor to attend several camps. When you look into the eyes of these innocent children and hear their personal story of losing their loved one it's magical to witness the transformation of these kids from Friday to Sunday. They trust the camp, they don't even realize they are healing, and they go home knowing it's all going to be ok!"
- Karen Moyer, Co-founder of The Moyer Foundation

- Gene Dias, director of community relations for Philadelphia Phillies
"Jamie and his wife Karen have shown that they're genuinely interested in helping people off the field, we're honored and delighted to be a part of something like this."
