COMMUNITY GRANTS



Grants from The Moyer Foundation are dedicated to community-based non-profit organizations located in Washington State. To be considered for funding, organization must provide direct service to children in the State of Washington and must be designated as a not-for-profit and tax exempt as defined under IRS 501 (c) 3 codes.

Past/current grant recipients  are asked to wait at least 12 months following receipt of a Moyer Foundation grant to submit another grant.  These subsequent grant requests must be for a program/project other than the one previously funded.

Yes - The Moyer Foundation will consider grant requests from organizations/programs that meet the following requirements:
  • only organizations located in Washington State
  • organizations with 501 (c) 3 IRS Status
  • programs that are targeted and directly serve children in physical, emotional or financial distress
  • Serves children ages infant – 18 years 
  • Has consistent and effective management 
  • Has clear goals and objectives 
  • Has broad base funding support 
  • Demonstrates the ability to respond to the needs of specific groups of children in a manner that yields measurable results 
  • Fully complies with The Moyer Foundation grant application process and format 
  • Unless otherwise approved, grant funds must be used within a one year period from the date grant is approved
No - The Moyer Foundation will not review or accept grant requests to fund:
  • Programs or associations that generate more than 50% of their dollars from government funding or grants
  • Advertising or fundraising drives
  • Partisan, political or denominational programs
  • General and administrative costs
  • Intermediary funding agencies
  • Administrative salaries, stipends or travel expense
  • Requests that are not in writing
  • Pass through grants (not-for-profit organizations that ask The Moyer Foundation for funds to distribute to other not-for-profit organizations)
  • Requests for specific programs which have already been completed
  • Multi-year requests
