Communications/Marketing Internship Responsibilities and Capabilities
The Moyer Foundation seeks an intern who has expertise in communications, public relations, advertising and marketing. The candidate will be responsible for supporting marketing and communications projects to support numerous special events held throughout the year to raise funds for the organizations that the Foundation supports. The position requires someone who can work very independently and proactively -- interns are encouraged to lead/develop their own projects based on Foundation needs.
This internship is supervised by the Communications Director. The Communications Director is responsible for all Foundation communication efforts including advertising, media/PR messaging, web site, marketing collateral, overseeing special events collateral and corporate sponsorship materials/proposals. Responsibilities of the position vary per quarter depending on the needs of the Foundation, but could include assistance with the following:
- Updating web site
- compiling media lists
- organizing press kits
- special event coordination (invites, programs, media)
- creating/organize foundation media library
- collateral (brochure/annual report/flyer) production
- marketing research
Hours and Pay
The Moyer Foundation is open five days a week from 8 am to 5 pm. We are willing to work with the appropriate candidate and develop flexible work hours to accommodate school schedules. There may be some evening and week-end work during special events. Because this is a non-profit organization, The Moyer Foundation is not in a position to provide a paid internship. However, we are confident that the intern will be involved in projects that will be highly beneficial to furthering his/her learning experience and will have an opportunity to work with others within the organization to gain experience in various aspects of non-profit

SUMMER QUARTER: June-August-application in by April 1st (full)
FALL QUARTER: September-December: application in by July 1st
WINTER QUARTER: January-March: application in by November 1st
SPRING QUARTER: April-June: application in by February 1st
